About Honeysuckle Stained Glass & Patchwork in Bendigo
Honeysuckle Stained Glass & Patchwork started life as a Leadlight Studio with my husband Peter restoring and taking commissions for new stained glass work. Once our two children were at school, he graciously gave over the front third of the shop to me (to give me something to do) and we started a small patchwork business. The leadlight is still going (with less space) and the patchwork is growing, he now has a quarter of the shop! We try and cater for all quilters. Beginners are catered for with samplers, simple weekend projects and introductory classes. More experienced quilters looking for landscape fabrics, oriental, batiks, reproduction and tone on tones are also very well catered for.
We offer technique classes for machine quilting, quilt as you go, foundation piecing, stack & whack, etc. for when you just want to try something new with a bit of an experienced hand at your side. Morning, evening and weekend classes available. Our business is situated just outside the central business district of Bendigo, approximately 1 1/2 hours drive north of Melbourne and is also accessible by train from Melbourne.
Bendigo is a city of approximately 90, 000 people which sits almost in the centre of Victoria. Lovely old buildings and homes together with plenty of good shopping, fine eating and a variety of accommodation make Bendigo a great place to visit.
